A modern addition to an existing home was situated to afford views over a sunken terraced garden, and to screen views into the house from the driveway. Tight hedgerows of birch provide screening, while the garden terraces were planted as lush flower borders. An in-ground spa was built in a grove of trees nearby, with a curving wooden wall concealing the equipment. Glass marbles were seeded into concrete pavers to create an unusual texture.
